Stage Crew – Saturday (11am-3:30pm) and one night of practice for some roles

Theatre Set up – Saturday morning – as available (10:30 – Noon) – September to December; March to June
- Assist in carrying in supplies
- Set up Stage – sound system, props, tables
- Set up chairs in Theatre
- Set up tables and chairs for lunch prep and volunteer session
Clean Up – Saturday afternoon – as available (3:45-4:30) – September to December; March to June
- Clean up Theatre at end of program
- Stack chairs, pack up sound equipment, mop floor
- Empty garbage
- Ensure washrooms are left tidy and garbage empty if needed
Bus Transportation – Saturday 12:30pm – 4:45pm (end time may vary depending on any situations that arise when taking children home)
- ride the bus while picking up the children and taking home
- be a mentor to the children on the bus
- ensure safety on the bus
Home Visits – Thursday or Friday after school (time can vary (between 4pm-7pm depending on your schedule – 1.5 to 2.0 hours) – Weekly, biweekly, or as needed to fill vacation and sick – year round. Weekly volunteers should be available Saturday during programming season.
- Visit the children and parents on their doorstep (approximately 3-5 minutes per home)
- Build relationships with families
- Deliver weekly flyers
- Home visit volunteers will ride the bus on Saturday during pick up and assist in providing monitoring inside Theatre during program
- If you are part of a home visit team it is important to attend as many Saturdays as possible
Youth Group Leaders and Small Group Mentors – Wednesday evenings 5:30pm – 9:00pm; Saturday 12:15-4:30 – weekly, biweekly, monthly
- We are in the process of readjusting youth to Junior & Senior and breaking into small mentorship groups – we need minimum three or four youth group leaders to begin the junior youth group and at least two males
- leadership and training for the youth on Saturday as part of the LIT
- assist youth in their volunteer roles on Saturday
CityKidz Saturday Team Members – Saturday 1:30-3:30pm – weekly, biweekly or monthly – September to December; March to June
- Supervise children during programming to ensure safety of all children
- Ensure children are listening and participating in the program
- Participate in the program
- Be a mentor for children during lunch time and answer questions during program
- Bus Greeters
- Theatre Ushers
- Security/Door Monitors
Media – as needed – attend some Saturday & Wednesday program; Gala & other fundraising events; join home visits; will be called on when special events are happening
- Photography/Videography
- Attend occasional Saturday programming and take pictures
- Provide photography at fundraising and special events (Summer To Remember events; Christmas Party, staff/volunteer events)
- Social Media
- Update social media accounts
- Newsletter

Volunteers must complete a volunteer application package, including criminal record check/vulnerable sector search, and 2 references.
